An increasing number of even the most hardened knights and adventurers have secretly taken to wearing a special kind of new undergarment known as underwear, so named because it is worn beneath trousers, robes, and other clothes. Not only does this simple item provide a bit of protection from cold winter drafts, it also helps protect against chafing when walking or riding for days on end.

The best tailor shops for underwear are in the Horasian Empire. The most popular style is made by a tailor named Elvolio Firnba, who got his start by wondering what he could produce from a large supply of irregular bits of cloth he obtained one day at the market. He found inspiration in artwork depicting the tribal societies from the south. Once people learned of his innovation, demand for his product soon outpaced his ability to sew. He wisely invested in a workshop and now operates a highly prosperous business. Elvolio works with many important partners, the best known being Crassus Trequona, who primarily deals in larger sizes, and Kusmina Mairechi, who embroiders lavish patterns and adornments onto the panties she makes for her female customers.

Orcs are unlikely to adopt this new clothing trend, as they prefer leather loincloths, which they have worn since ancient times. Forest Folk and Utulu tribes, the source of Elvolio’s original inspiration, often wear nothing but loincloths and are just as unlikely as orcs to change their ways.
