Dice
“May the dice be with me.”

Dice are popular with traveling adventurers, bored nobles, sly rogues, and guards. Most dice have six sides, but some Aventurians also own twenty-sided dice. Mystics are said to use specimens with twelve sides for casting their oracles.
The goal of many dice games is to either achieve the highest possible score, or roll a specific target number on one or two dice. Games have names such as “Gareth Burning” or “21 Kreutzers” and usually involve monetary wagers or, at least, deciding who must pay for the next round of drinks. Thus, many participants attempt to skew the results. The most harmless means of achieving this involve good luck charms, quick prayers to Phex, or socalled unbeatable throwing techniques. Those who wish to be more certain of their results use loaded dice, that is, dice that contain secret weights or have modified edges or faces that influence rolls.
