Ogre Swatter

The ogre swatter is basically a morningstar with two chains of varying length and two spheres of varying design. It is especially common in northern Aventuria where front-line troops are more likely to face ogres in combat. The weapon inflicts more damage and is more difficult to dodge than a morningstar, but troops find the added weight more exhausting. Also, the weapon’s uneven lengths of chain increase their chances of self-injury. The ogre swatter is designed to circumvent shields, break bones, and frighten the enemy into withdrawing before combat begins.
