Dragon Tooth
“It is said that this blade is cast around the fang of a real dragon, and that the beast’s magic infuses the weapon with deadly precision. To create such blades, the dwarves send their best warriors into dragon caves to kill the beasts and take their fangs.”
— Elwain, to his granddaughter Breda, Winhall, 1037 FB
The dragon tooth, a dwarven weapon with a broad blade, was thus named because the damage it inflicts resembles the wounds caused by the powerful fangs of a dragon. Contrary to popular belief, to make this dagger, no smith has ever had to risk life or limb to kill a dragon and take its fangs.
Many dwarves carry dragon teeth, and few outside the communities of the Angroshim may own one of these symbols of dwarven society. Dwarves do not willingly sell dragon teeth, either to humans or to anyone else. Skilled dwarven warriors have been known to slay lizard creatures many times their size and weight with a single, precise stab of this weapon.
