Trident
“The storm lashed against the sails, driving us ever further off course. Efferd himself seemed to be rending ocean and sky to punish our sacrilege. Before our astonished eyes, a massive trident rose from the waves, followed by a 9’ tall man with a long white beard. He climbed aboard our ship and glared at us, scowling. I’ve never seen the crew so terrified. We thought we were doomed.”

This pitchfork-like spear is especially effective for catching fish, and it is so common in coastal areas that many fisherfolk use it to defend their homes. Tridents are also popular in gladiator arenas. Though less effective against armored opponents, tridents grant an advantage when fighting in water, and their barbed points serve well for disarming opponents.
