Amazon Saber

The Amazon saber, named for the female warriors who perfected it, is a slender, single-edge sword with a strongly curved blade. Its shape makes it well suited for use while mounted, especially against targets on foot. For this reason, it was quickly adopted by mounted soldiers across mid- and northern Aventuria and thus also is sometimes referred to simply as a cavalry sword.

Many consider the Amazon saber an especially Rondranian weapon. Every Amazon warrior owns a saber, and according to legend, quite a few of these weapons were passed down from famous ancestors. When fighting dismounted, Amazons use this weapon with a shield. Perhaps its only drawback is its unsuitability for parrying heavy two-handed weapons.
