Wyvern-beater
“This wyvern-beater has been in our family for generations, and one day it will be yours. Did anyone kill a dragon with it? By Angrosh, of course! Your great grandmother, Raxasha, used it to kill a tatzelwurm and a sea dragon. Yes, some day you, too, my son, will perform heroic deeds—once your beard grows in, that is.”
— Hardas son of Kurolas, dwarven warrior, modern
The wyvern-beater was designed by dwarves for dwarves, which is why humans find it unwieldly. Despite its name, this axe is too small to be effective against creatures as gigantic as dragons, but it serves well against orcs and other enemies. Dwarven families pass wyvern-beaters from generation to generation and sing their praises in tales of heroic deeds.
