Dwarf Cudgel
“The first dwarf cudgel was forged by a young lad who was deeply in love with a djinni. She had been bound to a rock by a mighty geomancer’s spell. The young lad set out to destroy the stone, but to do so, he needed a special tool. He worked at his forge day and night, without pause, until the cudgel took shape, and he smashed the rock into pieces. Freed from the curse, the djinni gave him her heart.”
— Excerpt from a diamond dwarf fairy tale appearing in the Lorgolosh Fragments, around 300 FB
The dwarf cudgel is a war hammer redesigned specially for the Angroshim. Like any war hammer, the dwarf cudgel is very versatile, but its true advantages lie in its compact shape, its suitability for use in cramped spaces, and its special dwarven forging, which lends it the same effective force as a larger war hammer, despite its shortened handle and smaller hammer head. On the other hand, non-dwarven fighters find the weapon’s reach somewhat limiting.

“Sounds like one of those small wooden sticks that Arbosh uses for drumming”

“Very funny. Dwarf cudgel is an unfortunate mistranslation. In our language, this war hammer’s true name sounds far more glorious.”
— Arbosh son of Angrax, forge dwarf master smith
